Water Street Restaurant – DUMBO

For my maiden post to Eating Brooklyn I thought it might be appropriate to start where I started 2009, at The Water Street Restaurant in DUMBO.

Situated on an unassuming block, and neighboring Jacques Torres chocolates and a couple friends of mine, I’d often found myself drinking the lonely pint at this somber hole. I’d never eaten here prior to NYE, and by NYD I still hadn’t touched a morsel of food, but my friends tell me that what the onces shunned, was now pretty decent. It looked decent. The place was packed with NYE party-goers eating and drinking. I was witness to the consumption of numerous raw oysters and lobster tails, burgers, steaks, and Buffalo wings.
