It looks like the Pacific/Smith Corner Conglomorate is converting the rest of the former Gravy/Trout space - the main space to a new Spanish-Italian-French restaurant called Bueno. So now, Since 1963 is just the "Game Room" area. I highly doubt I will ever eat there again, but for professional purposes, I will probably try Bueno.

Thanks for the feedback, Beau. Like I said in the review, if it lasts a few more months I will give it another chance. In the mean time, however there's Dallas Jones on Atlantic available to fill my BBQ needs.

Guys you may want to try again. Ordered some brisket, shoulder and ribs for a small gathering on the 4th. Wasn't the best BBQ I've ever had but it's definitely up there for this area. I do not like the NE version of brisket, it's waaay too lean. The brisket I ate was a good mix of marbled meat and lean portions with some extra fat if you want it. Was pretty good. I hardly ever add sauce so that's not an issue with me. The beans were definitely as described n the review. Guess they come from the undercooked school. I've had similar in other places but i like the well cooked and seasoned ones better. Coleslaw was also a winner, no raisins!! and they used radishes which gave the slaw a welcome kick.

Bottom line is that I'll go back and you should too.

It's a shame, because the area needs a good BBQ joint.

Totally agree. We had no idea that you order at the window, the hostess overcharged us and refused to admit her mistake, they never took our name, so our food only found its owners when I put up a stink, the hostess thought that two distinctly different sauces were the same, our beers never came and when I asked the waitress said "they're in the bathtub" ("ohhh of course!"), and yes we had to get our own utensils too.

I thought the brisket was gross tasting too...like it had been thawed. And their "pulled pork with pineapple salsa" was a mess of bland flavors.
